O.R. Tambo International Airport – Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality

A SPOT6 satellite image acquired in 2016 showing in high detail, O.R. Tambo International Airport, a major international airport in the heart of Ekurhuleni, Gauteng, South Africa. The airport is the busiest in Africa able to handle up to 28 million passengers annually. Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality have set about to develop an Aerotropolis in the City to leverage the existing industrial base, linked to its human resources and logistics networks; ultimately to support rapid growth and redevelopment of its communities.
